Business Opp 1

Thank you for your interest in doing business with the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM). The Birmingham Airport Authority is invested in stimulating the local economy as well as promoting fair and equal business opportunities to qualified companies. The Authority works together with its vendors and partners to provide passengers with world-class amenities and quality customer services.

All active Request for Proposals, Requests for Qualifications, Requests for Bids, Requests for Information and Construction Bids are listed on the main website under About BHM. Solicitations are also listed in the local print media.

Concession Program

The Birmingham Airport Authority leases concession space in the terminal to vendors. Concessions consist of food and beverage, retail shops, personal services, display advertising, and other consumer services.

Passengers can expect to see changes to the concessions during the interim phase of the Terminal Modernization Project. When Concourses A and B are complete, our program will have new concessions, including local flavor. They will be in response to a National Request for Proposals for a Master Concessionaire. More information will become available soon on this program.

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program

The Birmingham Airport Authority encourages small, minority, and women-owned businesses to participate in business opportunities and airport-related projects.
