Major state-of-the-art changes are underway at BHM with the Terminal Modernization Project. The Public Relations and Marketing Division of the Birmingham Airport Authority is committed to delivering timely and accurate information to the local news media and the surrounding community. Messages and updates are also delivered via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and the Authority’s newsletters.

All unsolicited telephone, email and postal inquiries received from print, broadcast or electronic journalists should be directed to the manager of the public relations and marketing department, Toni Herrera-Bast, at the Birmingham Airport Authority.  In the event that the manager is not available to field a telephone inquiry, the journalist’s name, media organization, phone number and deadline (if any) will be noted and conveyed as soon as possible and with the proper sense of urgency to the manager of public relations.

BAA will respond to information requests and media inquiries from legitimate news sources, within its capacity to do so. All requests and inquiries will be evaluated on an individual basis; BAA reserves the right to refuse to supply certain confidential and/or other information, issue statements or make representatives available for media interviews when such actions do not serve to further BAA reputation and professional interests.
